So I am continuing my way through BASIS work at Haworth. I now realize SAP is even more complicated than I once thought. Having 50 systems with multiple clients takes an amazing understanding of how it all works together. I still feel like the web is where everything will be at tomorrow (aka the future). So it is nice to see Haworth doing a lot of Web DynPro and Java.
Outside of work I am still continuing my progress on Symfony. It is going much slower than I had anticipated, then again life tends to get busy and steal my time away from learning. Shock has helped push me back towards the drive of learning. I am hoping that the knowledge I have of AJAX and MVC will guide me through the setup of a symfony project.
I have owned the domain name http://woodsandwhatnot.com for a while now in hope that my parents would start dolling out awesome wood working/quilting projects. I think that I need to get the site done using Symfony so that they have something to use as a store front end. My mom has been putting together some amazing quilts lately that need to be sold so she can afford to make more. I am hoping that once the site is done my Dad can make a cool collection of wood working projects, that we can sell to also afford more.
I am going to tie in the research of using a MVC architecture such as Symphony into my Master’s Project. That way I will hopefully complete my Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Grand Valley State University in April, right about the time Dierks Patterson arrives!
Well hopefully I get the Seattle pictures and a million other pictures I owe people up on Gallery soon.
Till next time!!!
