Well I thought growing up that the best thing to do when I got a job was to start early and buy a house right away. Well as the recent news hits that 1 in 5 mortgage owners owe more than their house is worth I am bummed out.

I tried to see if I could sell before all of this started happening, but it was too late and now I feel like moving would just be a terrible option. So lets just hope I have a job through all of this and that I can afford to keep the house I have ![]()

So I am continuing my way through BASIS work at Haworth. I now realize SAP is even more complicated than I once thought. Having 50 systems with multiple clients takes an amazing understanding of how it all works together. I still feel like the web is where everything will be at tomorrow (aka the future). So it is nice to see Haworth doing a lot of Web DynPro and Java.
Outside of work I am still continuing my progress on Symfony. It is going much slower than I had anticipated, then again life tends to get busy and steal my time away from learning. Shock has helped push me back towards the drive of learning. I am hoping that the knowledge I have of AJAX and MVC will guide me through the setup of a symfony project.
I have owned the domain name http://woodsandwhatnot.com for a while now in hope that my parents would start dolling out awesome wood working/quilting projects. I think that I need to get the site done using Symfony so that they have something to use as a store front end. My mom has been putting together some amazing quilts lately that need to be sold so she can afford to make more. I am hoping that once the site is done my Dad can make a cool collection of wood working projects, that we can sell to also afford more.
I am going to tie in the research of using a MVC architecture such as Symphony into my Master’s Project. That way I will hopefully complete my Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Grand Valley State University in April, right about the time Dierks Patterson arrives!
Well hopefully I get the Seattle pictures and a million other pictures I owe people up on Gallery soon.
Till next time!!!

All I can say is wow. I was waiting for the day when laptops got out of the plastic business. That day has finally arrived. Check out the new Macbook Video. So if I was still in college I would find any way possible to go get a new guy and sell my old one. However, I am older and wiser now with a baby on the way. So I must resist my urge to splurge and settle with the MacBook that I have. So if anyone wants to send donations my way they are always welcome (whether they are for child or MacBook wichever makes you feel better inside).
Sunday
Well I don’t have the pictures up yet, but I am having a blast in Seattle. I have been able to see the pacific ocean at Twin Harbors Beach State Park
Monday
I was able to go see Snoqualmie Falls which was quite a sight. I was very amazed that way back in the 1800’s they were able to create this major hydro-electric plant underground. I then met up with a college friend Eric Maino who works at Microsoft. He was able to give me a quick tour by car around the campus. It was very cool reminded me of University of Michigan. We ate downtown where I spent too much money and I hope Haworth doesn’t kill me for it.
more to come…
